Random question on Pinon Wood

I know that this is not for cooking, but am I good roasting/warming a few hot dogs and warming baked beans/pancakes over a campfire?  Or should I avoid even that amount of cooking with pinon?

If you are cooking something in a pan, the only problem I would expect is that pine resin burns really hot. Cooking over some knots might burn the food pretty quick.

For myself, I don't like more than a bit of the terpene flavor. I suppose hot dogs over an open flame would not get too much of that.
