CI Skillet for Mini Max

Is anyone using a CI skillet on their mini max? I figure I will need to cut the handle off but I'm not sure what sizes are fitting. I'm thinking a Ø10.0 CI from Lodge. Other suggestions?

Go here... https://www.lodgemfg.com/prodcat/skillets-and-covers.asp
Click on any of the skillets, then select Measurements (just above the price).I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

+1 You may have to cut the handle off if you want to close the lid.Carolina Q said:Go here... https://www.lodgemfg.com/prodcat/skillets-and-covers.asp

I can fit a #3 Griswold on my mini, but I'm not sure if there's enough clearance to avoid cracking the dome when the CI gets hot. Other than a test fit, I've never tried it. I won't cut the handles off of my antiques.tarheelmatt said:You may have to cut the handle off if you want to close the lid.
If I need CI, I'll use the large or my oven. I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I was referring to the new stuff. I wouldn't cut on any of my oldies either.Carolina Q said:

I went to the local Lodge Outlet in Commerce, GA and picked up a 10" factory second for $4.99. The defect was on the underneath of the skillet and the cooking surface was pristine. I used my sawzall and trimmed the handles completely off. It seasoned up very nice.

Here is a deep dish I cooked in it.

Thanks Craig, That is exactly what I was looking for. Lodge makes a Ø10 and Ø10.25. What size/ part number did you get?Big_Green_Craig said:I went to the local Lodge Outlet in Commerce, GA and picked up a 10" factory second for $4.99. Hmmm... I'm not sure. I don't think a 1/4" would matter. There is plenty of room in there for this one.bigguy136 said:
