Sick Of Bad Weather

I know we haven't had what Texas and Oklahoma, but I am sick of rain and now wind.  I lost my 12'x12' canopy today from our strom today.  It flipped over,  put a hole in the top, bent so leg and broke some support rods.  That's $80 down the drain.  I am thinking of something more permanent now or an umbrella I can take down easier.  The reason I didn't take it down because it's a pain and didn't know high winds were coming through.  Smokewwear SS cap may be in my future.

I know this is gonna probably sound weird but just the other day my wife and I were discussing possible upcoming vacation locations and both came up with the same idea of a "weather" vacation theme.
Living in San Diego we don't get "weather"... it doesn't snow, and in 40 years I've never seen a thunderstorm like you get east of the Rockies.

We were throwing out ideas like Fargo or Chicago in January or some nice snowy lodge somewhere for Christmas... but couldn't think of a location that could guaranty a thunderstorm 'cept maybe the gulf coast or Florida in the summer, but don't want/need that kinda heat & humidity.

Ya, I know, life's tough if ya gotta go looking for a stormy vacation.

Hummmm... maybe I could talk her into a tornado chasing trip.

Right now a thunderstorm happens about every day here now.  Flooding is bad to the north of us.  I wish we could send rain your way @UncleFred .
