OT - Anniversary Shrimp and Grits
My bride and I have been married for 13 years as of today. About to cook her up some Shrimp and Grits. I would be all for doing this on the Egg in the rain, but lightening is popping fierce! So I'm about to get my cookin' on inside on the big kitchen clock and make a CI skillet my beeotch! Got a new idea up in the old noggin'. More pix to come tomorrow. Of the food that is.

Thx guys! Here goes... Just gonna copy and paste from a FB post I made.
Made my pretty lady some Shrimp and Grits in the cast iron skillet tonight. Had an idea and went with it. Rosemary-Skewered Shrimp with Bacon, Country style Ham, Stone ground Grits w/ Sharp Cheddar, and a drizzle of a "secret sauce." Made it from the bacon/ham/seasonings/shrimp bits and drippings along with some heavy whipping cream and vermouth. Not so secret anymore. Topped with chives.
Here go the pix... Not sure what order they'll be in?

Thx guys and gals! The house smells great. Although I'm not sure I want my business clothes smelling like it tomorrow. Wish I could've cooked it outside, but no worries.
