Spicy Pepper Coated Chicken & Grilled Fennel

We liked this dish, and the twice-cooked chicken crisped up well.



Started by cooking drumsticks indirect until 140 IT, then pulled and dipped in the sauce, and put back on raised direct until cooked and blackened up. 



The sauce was 2 cups buttermilk, 4 Tbs Tabasco and tons of fresh ground black pepper. 

The he grilled fennel was good, much milder flavor than fennel seeds (and I don't like licorice).
