Cedar planked lobster tails and artichoke
Tonight's menu, because she found them on sale, is lobster tails.
I split them, removed the "vein" (intestine) and liberally applied Old Bay and butter.
Artichokes get steamed for 20 minutes, split, remove the "choke", lemon juice and smoked salt.
Steel grate for this one, direct. I expect the artichokes to take twice as long as the tails,
Here's what I have so far, the egg is warming up, spinach salad waiting for the bacon to warm up.

The artichokes will take 10 times longer than the tails. Looks delicious!

Never occurred to me to plank lobster tails; anxious to hear how it comes out!___________

The artichokes were pre-steamed in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes, so they just needed to get some smoke flavor and grill marks... they were ready before the tails, but not by too much.
I planked the lobster tails because I wanted them to cook indirect, and still be able to char the artichokes a little. Worked out pretty good.
My photo program is glitchy right now... have the pictures on my phone, but they won't show up when I try to attach them... pictures later.
