Still working on what I want to put in the two side cabinets or do drawers. The entire thing is getting wrapped in cedar. That is a 2x6 solid cedar top we glued and screwed then put walnut plugs to hide the screws.Jacksonville, FL

Thanks. The table is much bigger then most build here. It is 34in deep for the cabinets ( Top is 38in wide by 78in long). So I am thinking of making the drawers in the front 15in deep then on each side making doors so I can store stuff in there too. I dunno I am not going to finish the sides until I figure out what I am going to do. The floor will go on today and some more coats of clear on the top.

I am using a commercial hardwood floor urethane. I have 3 quarts left over from jobs when I lived up north and did floors. I have 2 coats on it now. I put the first coat down and let it tack up (about a hour) then I wet applied it again. Then when this coat dries I will 220 sand it then a third coat and 220 sand for the 4th coat. I don't see it needing more then 4 coats. It will sit outside but under the Lanai. I will not do any cutting on it as I will inlay a piece of granite for my work surface.Jacksonville, FL

Just brainstorming ... what about two full-depth, full height, and half-width slide out drawers (open on the top just like a drawer) on one side. The idea is to store plate setters, stones, grills, PSWoo2, spiders on their edge. That would alleviate the juggling necessary to get the *&^^* item you need next off the bottom of the pile.

Nice looking table Josh. Sounds like a good idea to build it now and then trim it out once you know what you want. Smart.Phoenix

egg in the table. I am going to cut the hole a bit bigger and drop it down about 2in. I want to make a big slide out for the lump. I also want to put like a hanging full extend sliding rack to hold hanging stuff. Here is the table. Thanks guys keep the ideas coming. awwJacksonville, FL
