Triplet Butts
First time doing 3 Butts and I am trying to understand how much, if any extra time it will take vs. when I do just 1 or 2. I have a LG and will have them stacked in order to fit. Trying to time out a 4PM-5PM meal Saturday, so with a FTC I can pull around 1ish or so.
Will the third Butt and stacked add time to the cook? I am thinking about putting on at 11PM tonight, I get a small stall most times I do butts, as I do them at 220. What time would you start this cook? Thanks and Happy Memorial Day to all!

Pic of the set up? Are they touching, physical stacked? Or do you have a separate rack?

I just bought a top rack, so they should not touch, but I have not used it or set it up yet..should be interesting, hope it fits b/c I need it to be higher than the legs it has.

Whatever is on the top will cook faster, the stuff on the bottom will be close as long as they are close to same weight and have air flow between.

interesting, I thought with more mass, it might take longer to cook overall...thx!

Yolk, you were dead on! I got a little hot over night, woke up at 6:30 and it was at 300. The top Butt was at 175, the one in the back (under the top one) was the least done. Brought the temp way down and it looks like I have a stall for the last 2 hours at 178 (needed that!).
