If you can cook 1/200th as good as that view is you will fit in well here. Welcome to the asylum.
The table looks pretty damn good tooI raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season. -

Any suggestions on what to add to the table to the left of the egg? I want to add something where i don't my my tongs to sit, won't mark up the table, easy to wipe off, or put something hot down on, etc. I have a patio stone on the deck to the right I set my place setter on after doing a reverse sear, but I think something else on the table itself would be nice.

Nice table and awesome view. I would add a table nest to get your egg up off the paver. There is at least one thread on here where someone's house burned due to heat transfer over time from the egg through the paver to the wood.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

Very sobering, and this is the reason I am getting my eggs off the deck and into an outdoor kitchen island made of stone.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

Welcome- that is a great looking table. For a place to set hot items many people use some kind of stone. I have seen lots of tables where the cutting board is inlaid (like the one below- google image search). If you don't want to mod the table you might just find a big granite cutting board and set it on top.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Welcome from a newbie egg owner also. Forum is awesomeXLBGE in plainview, new york
