Looks great, but I would be a little worried about the nest sitting directly on wood.

It's on a table nest . So there is an air gap below and around the egg. That's what BGE recommends

If you don't want to buy a table nest, a concrete paver will work fine, and you can get one from Home Depot for less than $5.00

@Steve753 The heat will transfer through the concrete paver and could char the table.  The table nest is the way to go.

Actually, I bought a Cedar table, and the manufacturer recommends using a concrete paver.

If you search the forum you'll find there's pictures posted of tables that have been burnt sitting on just pavers. There's other economical ways to create an air gap than using a table nest. Regardless of the manufacturer's recommendations, your house and safety are worth the nest or whatever it takes to get an air gap.

Yeah but the manufacturer of the cooking vessel recommends an air gap. My money is on them. I have a paver with a table nest. I know I'm covered.

Just pine that I stained and used a propane torch to burn top to give burnt look.
