OT - Kitchen Drawers Constantly Glide Open

We had a guy come out and redo our kitchen pantry and replace all the slides in our kitchen drawers.  Did a great job.  So smooth to open and shut.  One corner I cut was on the slides by not optioning to get the more expensive ones that suck the drawer closed.  Huge mistake.  Now, 3 years later about 1/2 my drawers just automagically slide open.  Any carpenters out there to help me understand how need to adjust my slides so the drawer stays closed?  My"guy" is now a nurse and really isn't available.  I appreciate any advice.  This is not my forte.

I'm going to guess that the screws that hold the slide bracket to the cabinets are a bit loose and the slide have sagged down towards the front. Gravity then does the rest.

Remove a drawer you have issues with and check the level of the slide brackets. If needed, level them up and re-tighten the screws.

@4Runner   Take off a set of slides and take it in to a cabinet supply house such as the link below.  They should be able to set you up with a self closing version of something that would fit.  Not a big deal in time or expense to change them out.  Good luck.

I'll give this a try before I go for replacement.  Thanks to all for the replies this far.

Help me think through this.  If the drawer is wanting to open, that means it leaning first a bit. To counter, I would want to adjust the front part of the slide attached to the drawer down a bit.  This would raise the drawer up in the front and in theory, correct my issue?

I'm guessing it's the part of the slide attached to the cabinet that is sloping down at the front. Check the level on the bracket attached to the cabinet.

Inspect all screws visually first. You might be able to see some are loose and all it might take is to snug them up.

The portion that is attached to the drawer itself you wouldn't mess with.  If you did, your drawers may sit at different heights.  If yours have no self closing at all, I would look at lowering the back of the slide where it is attached to the back of the cabinet (or in some cases the side).  It won't take much to get them to the point where they won't "self open".

The only thing is, if you spend the time messing with it, you are already doing all the work it would take to put in new, true self closing slides.

Got it.  I'll give it a go and report back.  I'll start digging for self closing as an upgrade.  Any good online resources that could help order the proper self closing slides?  Thanks again and off for a quick adjustment.
