Dome Play

When dome is open.  There seems to be a lot of play left to right.   It is solid in the bands.  But you can feel the whole thing shift when lowering.  When open you can shift it left to right.  Always closes correctly.  How do you tighten that?

Good question.  Mine just started doing the same thing you're describing after a very hot clean burn.   I just figured I deformed something.  Maybe somebody has a solution to this

Have you checked the cinch studs on the band that hold the dome, tighten the accorn nuts & see if that helps.

What BGE?  My medium is rock solid, but the XL with its lateral as well as angular motion hinge has play.  Nature of the beast.

Re-tighten all hardware on your egg.

Give every bolt/nut on the hinge a shot of graphite lubricant and snug them up.  That way you'll fix the looseness in the hinge without having to worry about it binding up.
