Sam's Club Ribeyes
maso
Posts: 240
They opened a new Sam's club by my house. They had XL BGEs for $1200; I think I remember at least 6 on the floor. No other sizes though. They had some really good nice knives from a show guy there. I can't remember the brand but they felt nice, and had a "nice" price attached. I did however pick up some ~2" thick Ribeyes for $8/lb and decided to cook one up tonight. The Mrs. Isn't a big steak fan so she's eating leftover Cheesecake Factory from lunch.
I like me some Sam's and since there's no Costco around, it'll do!
Trying to enjoy a little eggin while dodging tornadoes and hell, sorry hail, here in OK!
Have a great Mother's Day weekend!

I do Sam's beef, pork butt, and salmon. Nothing wrong with that. I also buy some of their restaurant pots, pans and other cooking items. That is where I buy my foil.
XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys -
Their produce and cheese is also usually good. The big thing about Sam's is KNOW your " regular" pricing before you go in there. Not everything is a good deal. Lots of stuff is as much and even more than you might pay somewhere else.

I like their beef and pork. Even though they're not prime, the steaks there have always been excellent. I like the quality of their Boston butts too! Price is always right. I also buy a lot of other stuff there, breakfast items (oatmeal to go!), really anything. Luggage and even a TV! My wife won't let me go in unsupervised, haha!Large BGE in Moore, OK

This 18+ pounder came from SAM's. See my post last night about dry aging it for 62 days.

I'm curious about Sam's packaged beef (not the cryovac packages). Is it "blade tenderized" like Costco? I hate when they do that but at Costco all their packaged beef is tenderized. It should indicate that on the price label.

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out.
