Bolt and nut sizes.

I want to tighten the bolts on my egg. However, I don't know the size socket I need. I'm actually out now heading to hardware store. Anyone know?  Thanks guys.

1/2 " deep socket.

Make sure you have an open end 1/2" wrench also. The band bolts are usually bent and the socket won't fit.

 Thanks guys. I just did my first four cooks and I was told to tighten everything again. I'm not using a torque wrench and all that crap.

I use 1/2" hollow nut runner and a 1/2" ratchet wrench.

Just tighten everything up and you'll be fine. Set a calendar reminder on your phone to check them again in 3-6 months.

Did you just say..."hollow nut runner"? Well, it's the weekend now.

@henapple yep hollow nut runner (vs magnetic so you can get it in as deep as the shaft allows). Yep, it's Friday alright.

THANK YOU for knowing the proper term. It drives me "nuts" when people ask about the "screws" used on eggs and how to tighten them!
