I am looking for a good grilled vegetable recipe and came across this picture from @Mickey in 2012. Any chance this recipe or method has been posted anywhere? Would love to try tonight.

Send @MICKEY a PM & ask him.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

Looks like he just put all the veggies in the pan, drizzled with EVOO, some s&p throw it in the grill until done. I would par-boil the potatoes, but everything else, just toss it in the pan. I would typically let something like this cook for ~30-45 min at about 325-350.

Thank you @onedbguru Do you think I can get that kind of char at 325-350 in just 30-45 mins going direct?Snellville, GA

If it was something of importance I would PM but I don't see it being necessary to bother him with something so simple. If it turns out terrible maybe I'll send him a message. Thanks again!Snellville, GA

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I've seen @mickey publish his cell # on here for less. If you need help, PM him. No more bother than clicking on the thread. He's one of the most helpful eggers here.

@mickey that is very nice of you to share your number. I am just seeing your post so obviously I don't have the need to call you (for now). I do appreciate the gesture tho.
My my veggies did not turn out anywhere close to as nice as yours did (no char) but maybe I need a different pan next time. It seems I had water in the pan until they were completely done so no chance to char without overcooking. Maybe I should hear the pan before adding the veggies. Anyway, thanks again to everyone.
It happen, so pics below.
Before
After.
Added a little cheese and broiled for a few mins to make up for the lack of char. It didn't make up for it.
Chicken was good and corn was blah.

No water at all. Like the SS pan. 400 up high to cook off the dome. EVOO and balsamic.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

Ok sounds good. Next time I'll use a ss pan and get them up in the dome. I like the balsamic idea too. Thank you sir.Snellville, GA

Note that in a basket the veggies on top cook the fastest, and veggies overall cook a lot longer than you anticipate.

@Doc_EggertonI actually bought a sweet potatoe but didn't have time to boil first and was afraid it wouldn't cook in time before the other vegs were done. What do you mean veggies overall cook longer than you think. Meaning they take longer?Snellville, GA

2. A basket of veggies takes 30 minutes to cook. A lot of people think they will be done in 5 minutes. You must stir and reapply olive oil or PAM, and get them warm but not wilted. Veggies are more complicated to cook than a lot of people realize.

That does sound odd to boil STaders. I just thought I would need to boil them in order to have them done at the same time, I was thinking of putting them in with the veggies like Mickey did. Not sure why I didn't think to just wrap it and throw it on the egg.
What at is the reason to reapply oil? Even if I toss them all prior to cooking? Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.Snellville, GA -
The oil leaks out the basket.

Gotcha. So just when using the basket. That makes sense. Thanks again Doc.Snellville, GA
