I got tired of of playing crouching egger so I built a little base out of some Home Depot Rumble Stone dry stacked with a 20"x20" stepping stone cap.  It's nice sturdy and non-combustible. Cost about $87 in material and a half hour to assemble.

Probably would'nt be hard to build something like that to hold my large.  My table is getting a little rickety...

I've been wracking my brain trying to think of something simple to build for my MM. I was like you, either crouching down, or on a table I built that made it too high. This will be perfect. Thanks for sharing.

It wouldn't be hard at all. My wife came home and saw this and now she wants me to add on to it to incorporate the large and a side table.
