Beside's @RRP 's review ( http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1177676/off-topic-ok-something-my-timestick-trio-is-also-good-for )
What are other's opinion on this?  I currently use my i-phone's timer and it has been 'good enough' to get the job done.  Rarely do I need to set more than 1 timer.  So far, not everything I got from thermoworks is great.

IR Gun - Great for stove top cooking, cat toy, and finding cool/hotspots around windows.
Thermapen - Cannot live without!
DOT - Love it.  Simple to use, big display.
Humidity meters - Used once or twice, now just stills in a drawer somewhere.
Chef Alarm - sits in the drawer...

I don't own the timestick, but I can't see anything better than an iPhone. If your phone is charging all you have to do is say "hey siri set me a timer"... hard to beat IMO.

I LOVE my (original) timestick.  My hands are often full of BBQ goop, black from lump, etc - and it's really nice to have something you can work with one hand, hang around your neck, and not get gunk all over your iPhone screen.

    Highly recommended.

I have the trio and really like it, but it isn't super necissary, especially if you have other timers you use. I do like having multiple timers on same device.

I like that its back-lit. I used to use my phone timer but it's usually in my pocket and my hands are dirty.

I used my phone as well, and like the triple timer much better.  There is no danger of setting down an expensive phone where its wet or hot.  I'm now setting timers for everything.

Not worth a hundred, but at 25 I would predict you would find value in your purchase.
