Set up my Large Big Green Egg today!

I got my new bge all set up today and cooked up some pork loin. It took me over a month to build my table so I could set it up. I have it sitting on granite tile and I'm using the ceramic feet. I hope this is enough and my table doesn't get to hot. Also if anyone has any advice on keeping my egg stable that would be great, it's a little wobbly.

Welcome and nice set up. Would like try help with stabilization but not sure I am the right person. Surely one of the veterans will chime in.Henderson TN. 1 large BGE, 1 Webber Gasser (recently seems to have converted into a warming oven)

Looking at the picture you did a great job building the table ! The only thing I can see is you are using 1' x 1' tiles and they are thin, check the stability and watch to see if the tiles move.Gambrills,Maryland

Welcome. That's a nice looking, finely crafted table you've got there. I don't have one myself, so I'm not sure how to cure your wobbly egg though. Good luck and enjoy the journey.

Welcome to the club! Great looking table. You may want to use a table nest instead of the ceramic feet. That is what I am using, and it doesn't wobble at all when I lift the lid.

The table nest will add some stability but I bet your boards underneath the egg has some warping/bowing. Put a level front to back on the lower shelf and see if you've got any high boards that would throw your egg off.

+1 on the table nest. i get no wobble and have a nice air gap to help keep things cooler.Raleigh NC, Large BGE and KJ Joe Jr.

One suggestion, put the feet at 12, 4, and 8. The 12 foot is needed at the back directly under the hinge, so that when you open the top it doesn't wobble as much.

Thanks everyone! I went out and got a table nest. I'll put it in tomorrow. The other issue I'm having is smoke is coming out of one side. I tried to readjust but I don't think it helped. Very frustrating but worth it.

Welcome. Table nest is great. Just keep your wallet out as you're gonna need it

Joining this group was the best and worst thing of done. Buying my XL turned out to be the cheap part of it all. I've become best friends with my butcher and my credit card gets a work out every time I see something new on here. Wife said I'm going to have to invite the UPS guy over for Christmas....he's becoming like family with as often as he stops by to drop things off.XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2
