Pizza using tortillas as a crust

TagTag Posts: 1
I was at the Athens Eggfest last weekend and there was a

Pizza made using tortillas as a crust. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to cook.

  • Sure.  We do it most times Wilma wants pizza because the crust is THIN and CRISPY.  Also our family enjoys the convenience.  The set- up is the same as regular pizza (indirect and hot).  Cook until you achieve the doneness you like.  We like the "less is more" philosophy of pizza and tortilla crust plays well into that.  You can make a lot of them in short order!

  • When we make them, we usually make dessert pizza using Nutella & banana or strawberries.  Wilma likes a little shredded coconut on top.

They are surprisingly easy and good. Sky is the limit with the sauces and toppings. Like the rock breaker said, the crust is super thin, light and crispy.
