Smoked Beef Back Ribs
I did some beef back ribs, they came out pretty darn good and I think I'm going to use this recipe when I do them from here on out. I did an experiment and used....................................CHARCOAL BRIQUETTES instead of lump. Forgive me father... With that being said the ribs came out great! I wish I could find the dinosaur sized beef ribs though, difficult to come by out here. Anyhow, check out the video, subscribe to my channel and enjoy!

Nice job. Turn your DFMT so the pin on the vent swivel is facing your handle. Then it will more likely stay in position when you open and close the grill.
Lump is perfectly acceptable to use. With a low and slow, there should be no airflow issues. Typically the lump has enough binders to keep its general shape after burning.

@nolaegghead I think you are correct, so far I've found no issues with it and think it may actually burn a bit better than lump because all of the pieces are the same size and burn more evenly as opposed to VERY different sized pieces of lump. @Lmidkiff thanks for watching! Let me know if it works out for you.

Oh, and thanks for the tip on the vent @nolaegghead

Very nice. I have been taken the bones off my 3 bone prime ribs and freezing them for a rib cook.

@Tinyfish - nice move with the beef back bones. While the short ribs have more meat, every few weeks I switch it up to the back ribs, a definitely different flavor. Enjoy!
And apologies for the partial hi-jack.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
