1 Butt on for Vacation Meat

300*-ish indirect, Apple, hickory, and cherry chunks, BBQ rub overnight, drip pan on egg feet, butt on at 7:30am, yadda yadda. No Egg at the beach next week.

Not taking the time to make sauce, so stopping at Q Barbeque for sauce and hush puppies, and Extra Billy's for sauce and maybe a growler to go with the PP tonight.  Have to have some before freezing in Food Saver bags to go.

I swear I have tried the "vacation meat" line in years past-and got nowhere then and wouldn't even venture there now.  Enjoy the eats!

Pulled at 8 1/4 hours. It was 192 in some places and 196 in others. FTC for an hour now. Will pull when we can't wait any longer.

Enjoyed it. Got like 4 pounds of vacation meat. Moist for a run of the mill Kroger butt
