    Very cool- nice DIY!

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Does it have a finish on it? Looks like raw wood to me. I'd put at least 3 coats of marine varnish or poly on it. Undoubtedly people will sit cold cans on that and rings and spills will be sure to happen and it soon won't be looking so pretty.

Good job - sorry I didn't catch that you made it! Looked right over that! I'd still give it a finish though.

RRP no finish I actually had just finished (constructing) it before the pictures ...there is two ways to go with these, most of the ones I have seen folks did them out of pallet lumber and called them rustic cooler stands so no need to worry about a finish ...I just happened to have some left over 1x6 T&G cedar laying around and used that... turned out to be a pretty nice piece of deck furniture :) so I will eventually put something on it

That is sweet.  A drain plug that will never leak!

I used to have something similar, worked great for about a year or so, then all of my wood started expanding and then eventually fell apart.  Also had issue with the adhesive between the top of the cooler and the lid of the box sticking properly.  My cooler was the cheap styrafom, that might have made a difference too.

Beatarmy ... I've done five so far we'll just have to see how they do ... I've glued and screw all joints including the pocket hole connections ... The coolers I use are igloo brand 30.00 ones with SS screws and nice spout ... Hopefully ee'll get more than a year :)
