(P)update on Gyp
Thanks so much for everyone's advice, well wishes, and notes asking about Gyp.
For those that don't know, my BF's dog, Gyp, was attacked by some other dogs out at the farm several weeks ago. Her leg hide was nearly ripped off. She had a very serious wound on the outside of her leg and then we found another tear (skin from the fascia) on the "groin" area too. Poor baby was really injured.
She's been staying with me since the attack and we've become fast friends. I did make her some homemade dog food!
After some debridement last week, she is definitely getting much, much better! She just wanted to me let everyone know she appreciates all the get well wishes and notes! It really has helped! We aren't 100% but the wound looks great!

Glad she's healing, that's still pretty nasty looking wound.

Poor pooch :(
I'm not trying to get into a debate here. But, raw diets in canines have proven successful in dogs with allergic reactions to dog foods with impure additives. We have MANY friends with working & MWDs that are raw fed. Here's a good article. If I had the time to dedicate and a fresh supply of farm raised animals (food) we would go raw. But instead we feed Blue & partial raw when available as a treat. I hope this baby gets well soon.

Glad the pup is doing better. Thats a rough deal, but dogs seem to heal quick.
