I've had a medium egg for a few months now and have loved it!!!! No idea how good this this is!!!! I do have one question, how many springs are on the hinge system? I have just noticed that mine only has one. On the bracket there is a notch for a second hinge. I also noticed the the other side of the hinge doesn't have a stud for the bottom of the spring to attach to. Is this normal?

I believe that is correct, otherwise the spring rate would keep the top open

exactly what my Medium looks like...I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

The Medium and Large utilize the same hinge assembly. One spring for the Medium, 2 for the Large.
