Well SWMBO did not want me spending money on a mini, min max or small because of the price, but I was wanting a small egg of some kind to do quick cooks during the week.  I was going to get a KJ Jr when on sale at Ace for $360, but she said no to that too.  We'll I found this little guy online for $169.99 and was $198.99 shipped to my house.  Now Fedex missed placed it for a few days but finally found it and delivered it a little over a 2 weeks ago.  I have done 3 cooks on it so far.  It took a little bit to get used to.  I think it is more clay then ceramic so it doesn't heat up as fast as the mini would.  Last night I did burgers on it an it took about 15 minutes to get to 400.  The XL takes about 30 or so and it uses a lot less lump.  I got a bonus at work after getting it and probably could have sold her on a mini, but it is money saved to use an food and bills.  It's 13 1/2" on the outside and a little over 11 on the inside.  I'm using Rockwood lump in it and food taste good on it.  I've had it up to 650 searing steaks and at 400 cooking burgers.  Not sure on the warranty, but if it brakes I will push for a mini next time.  I can get about 2 cooks on one load of lump.
