Best Place/Price to Buy BGE

I am considering making the leap to get a bge. Where's the best place to get a good deal?

Well, I'd start at the Big Green Egg home page & search dealers in your area.

Any eggfest will have demo BGE's for sale-used once at the fest then yours.  Comes with the full warranty.  That would be my first option.  FWIW-

Find a dealer and go chat.  Find one who is nice, knowledgable and takes the time to show you the ins and outs.

If they are a good dealer they will be fair.  Its not like cars where they have tons of margin and try yo screw you.

Call around, stop in and talk.  Get prices from a couple of dealers and pick the one you want.

There's a dealer close by me and a couple others within an hour. In the past, the ones I talked to were full retail. Just wondering if there is a better deal anywhere.

I don't have many options where I live.  If I did have options regarding dealerships I think an important consideration for me might be how quickly they can process a warranty claim.  Some folks on this site have had the experience where they have had an issue and walk in and out the same day with the replacement part.  No way that would be the case for me.  It would probably be two to three weeks.

Depends on the dealer.  Generally they are not far off retail. Your best bet is bundling.  Maybe get a deal on an included nest, workmates, etc.

Some people will post with great deals they got, but that is probably after multiple egg purchases.

At the end of the day find a price you are happy with, buy it and don't look back.

If the absolute lowest price is what you are after then demo at an eggfest is your best bet.

I purchased an XL BGE, and I paid 1200 for egg, 2 large bags of BGE charcoal, nest, plate setter, ash tool, grill gripper pizza stone and Webers large chimney... prices are all over the place where I live, but ultimately chose based not just on price but knowledge and willingness to help. They were kind enough to also deliver and setup the Egg for me.  In addition they host Saturday afternoon cooks where you can come and get tips on how to setup your Egg for different cooks.  I will be purchasing my next 2 eggs from them just based on the level of service.  Planing on a medium and XXL, one will never be enough.

Like lousubcap said. Go to an EggFest and save several hundred on a full warranty unit that's got 6 or 7 hours burn time. In Salado today we are $749 for a Large. Some are higher and some are lower (few bucks +\-) all real close to that.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.
