OT - Weedburner storage

I picked up a long handled "garden torch" today.  Do you guys store them with the little propane canister attached or seperated?

Wouldn't it be a matter of how young your kids are and how mature they are? A mean a child fascinated with matches or a lighter is one thing, but a dangerous torch that they see daddy playing with in another!

I hang mine on a hook in the garage, MAPP attached. The whole thing is rigid so may be a different animal.

I've got a hose and held held trigger torch connected to my MAPP bottle all the time. I figure it keeps crap from getting into the fittings. It's convienent more than anything.

I have mine attached to a grill bottle sitting beside my table with egg.

Mine's usually attached to the tank (gas turned off) unless I've robbed it when the Blackstone or old Ducane gasser run out.
