Found a chip on my XL - Will this develop into an issue later? Picture included.

Hey Everyone, I found a chip when I re adjusted my bands to fix an underbite. I am wondering if this will lead to a further issue or is it just cosmetic? The XL is pretty thick but I am not sure how ceramic response when there is a chip. See picture.

The first picture is the right one, the chip is on the base.

I chipped mine almost 3 yrs ago and a simple dab of touch up paint it has held up rain & shine.

Any touch up paint in particular?

Ask your dealer, I had a blemish on my new egg at Christmas and got the paint from mine. It comes from BGE . You can also email BGE that photo to go on record if you like. I live in the north and know how potholes grow.  Water gets in, freezes, cracks, voila, you have a bigger hole!  Seal it with the touch up soon.  You could also investigate using porcelain repair paint as a base coat first but I've not done that.

Last winter my xl chiped.i got touch up paint from my dealer (no charge).its been a year now still good

That is a warranty issue (unless you caused the damage). Could get MUCH worse.
