Table nest

Ignoring the math specifics, it is really a time at temp issue. The tile/metal is good to protect from embers, ash, etc. I would use it for that fact, if my goal was to insulate the table I would not use it for that. Air gap is better for that than stone or metal.
If you had a strong radiant source the stone would help, but only until the entire stone has come up to temp. Once it is up to temp there is a lot of thermal mass to try and dissipate energy from.
In short keep a good air gap, use something to protect the wood from stray embers, and periodically check under any stone or metal you have. Add it to the list when you check band tightness.

On vacation and traveling ... so, I'll leave any calcs to @Ozzie_Isaac.
As a comment, I bought a Challenger Cart - all metal - and they show the egg setting on the shelf. I installed a nest because, "when in doubt, make it stout" was preached to me for my entire career. When it comes to fire ... please consider being extra safe.

Egg sitting directly on paver can transfer enough heat to burn the wood under the paver. Air is an excellent insulator, paver not so much.

Ok for those that think tht too much egg is hanging out.... How is it different than rolling nest?! Tht only has 6" holding it?? The table seems to be way more sturdy than 4 6" pieces of metal holding in place?!!

I run my egg with just the nest as well no other protection ... Have done low & slows over 12 hours and have done 650 deg steaks ... I have checked with my hand underneath the egg and the wood never gets to hot at all ... I am using Ipe' which is a very natural fire retardant lumber species ... IMHO would go with just the nest ...
