Rubbed chub breakfast sammiches (with pix)

So last time i did this cook (http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1177079/got-a-chub-and-rubbed-it#latest ) I didn't take the required pix... This time I did.
Short story... I took a 3 Lb. Jimmy Dean chub, rubbed it, egged it, and sliced it. Baked up some grands biscuits and made breakfast sammiches that I freeze and then pop in the microwave for 90 seconds whenever I wand a good, quick breakfast.
This time around I tried something different. Rather than make up the biscuit, patty and cheese and wrap them up individually, I froze the pattys and sliced biscuits separately and bagged them... The thought is that I'll just nuke them and then put the cheese on it when hot. The reason being that the cheese melted too much in the 90 seconds it took to nuke the wrapped complete sammich.

I really like this idea. I'm always looking for a quick breakfast.

One thing I forgot to mention above... When freezing the patty's and sliced biscuits put squares of waxed paper between the patty rounds and the biscuit halves before putting them in large freezer bags to prevent them from freezing together.

Try it! They sure beat the heck outta the sausage biscuits you get at Mickey-D's.henapple said:I'll take 4 right now...
Of course they WOULD be better on home made southern style buttermilk biscuits. ...maybe next time.

Ya, used a different rub combo this time around... better "bark". The wife wasn't too sure about it though. I told her to wait till she tried it because (rim shot please) "once you go...." ahhhh, wait ...never mindUrbanForestTurnings said:Nice looking chub
