I'm almost finished with my cedar table. Can someone recommend the best stain/sealer available? Sherwin Williams, Behr? Also, what's the best online store to buy hardware for the table? Here's my table. The drawer isn't in yet and I'm waiting to install the granite until the stain is on.

I wouldn't stain. A penatrating oil would look great. Whatever you decide test your options on scrap.

Check out the woodcraft store. A oil is easy to apply and fix. I don't like top coats. And I don't like to recommend any products. Cedar is an oily wood and that makes it hard to take a top coat finish.

Well, I wouldn't merely use a stain or even tung oil or the likes. I'd use Helsman Polyurethane. 3 coats with sanding in between. You'll need to freshen up from time to time depending on the exposure.

Rockler has a lot off good hardware.   If you don't have a sore near you just go online and see if they have what you need.

Wasn't too many years ago that when an egger ask about hardware what he meant was the "mandatory" bottle opener to be attached to his table. Here's one source, but there are many more out there!
