Snow day Gumbo

So left work early today because we don't do snow well. Been hankering to try some gumbo. Went to the grocery for some chicken and andouille and stood in line for 15 min. Everybody needed milk and bread and beer because we'll have snow for at least 12 hrs on the ground.
Anyway, combined the recipes and tips on this thread. http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1173412/cold-and-wet-gumbo-day#latest
Thanks @TigerTony @jlsm and @cajunduck The microwave roux was a lifesaver!
Smoked the chicken on the egg with some peach. Then used it for stock. Had some homemade tasso.
Turned out pretty good for a hillbilly.

I'm with John, you can keep that white stuff. I grew up in Saskatchewan, and if I never see snow again I will be happy. Terrific excuse for a bowl of that amazing looking gumbo though...Phoenix
