An Egg Conversion...just maybe

So I may have finally converted my brother. Until yesterday he always thought BBQ'ing was 20 minutes outside standing over a gasser. I mean, he always said "that was good" when I cooked, but he never said anything more, he is my OLDER brother after all. Well after last night's birthday party for my son where I cooked burgers and chicken wings he calls today and says: "so, those burgers last night were pretty da*n good. And your wings were off the chart, how'd you do it?" I told him the technique and he says "can I do that on my gas grill or do I have to get an egg?". I so wanted to say GET AN EGG really loud but instead I said "you can try, cook at medium high heat for an hour, check IT after about 45 min etc..." I also gave him the wing sauce recipe and told him which rubs I used. He plans try it this weekend after he purchases a decent instant read thermometer. My guess is they will be pretty good, but not great and he'll be converted. He's not a bad cook if you want burgers, dogs, steaks, chicken breasts etc cooked direct all the time, and he's a great guy, he just never knew how much fun this can be. Maybe we'll have another Egghead before to much longer.
