Quail hunt/cook

Shot 26 on a hunt this past Saturday.
Marinated in a concoction of water, red wine, olive oil, garlic, and assorted carbinet spices.

Wrapped in cheap bacon, little jalapeño pepper. Cooked over some cherry chips until fiñ.

Eat what you kill.

Looks like y'all had a good time. Man did ya take out the whole quarry?  Quail is a delicious game bird.

seriously, looks like a great time.  I get to hunt dove, but I've never hunted quail.  we cook dove very similarly, always very good.
