I think the types of people that steal usually don't appreciate the pleasure of cooking on an egg and I have never been approached outside a seedy bar by someone saying hey have I got a deal on a Big Green Egg for you, but I need the money now.  

I think most  the most stolen items are small expensive electronics that are then sold for a fraction of their value to finance some other vice the thief has, like satisfying an addiction.
