French Bread at the Chicken Ranch
Between building birdhouses and fixing neighbor's furniture, I made some bread today. Perfect day to do it too.
The birdhouses were easy - just take some lumber and remove everything that doesn't look like a birdhouse, then glue it together until it does look like a birdhouse.
But bread, now that's another thing. There's instructions to follow (I don't do instructions well), a time schedule to maintain (I'm retired. I don't do time well), and there's magic (If I knew any magic, I would use it to win the lottery). And there's one of those days when it all comes together. Today was one of those days.
Here's what I'm talking about. Presenting my Crusty French Bread

Great job on the bread. The stew looks great. But what is that green stuff in the bowl on the left?

Looks great from over here!
BTW, I have made your artisan bread recipe twice now and its the best bread I have made at home (had to decrease the salt a bit though).

Sure Griffin.
For those of you who like hot buttered bread, you might search "Butter" instead of "Bread" recipes. I did, and landed on Land O Lakes' web page, where they have one very impressive Recipes section.

It's easier to search for Crusty French Bread than to go through all the bread recipes, because you will find yourself stopping to read every recipe you come across. They really look and sound good.
I've bookmarked Land O Lakes for future reference.
You're welcome.
