Tonight: Smoked mixed vegetables, chicken wings, and black rice

I am trying out smoking veggies tonight in my cast iron skillet at 225.  I am going to just toss them in pure olive oil and salt (my teenage daughter doesn't like black pepper or I would use that too).  I will take them off after about an hour and then put on the chicken wings for about an hour, then maybe put the veggies back on, or serve them room temp. I haven't decided.  I have black rice steaming in the rice cooker.  Last week for Super Bowl I did this with brussel sprouts sort of impulsively and they were delicious.  We'll see :)
