Man those are pretty! That smoke ring is unreal. Did you finally unlock the secret of the smoke ring? The beans give off gas that forms the ring??Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Lol. @SmokeyPitt , I seasoned them only with S&P initially. I'm thinking that may have helped.
-
They look killer.

Temp for the cook?Temp of the ribs when done?Indirect Raised?Approximate time? Thanks!New Albany, Ohio
-
Thx fellas. @THEBuckeye , I smoked them indirect at a dome temp of 250ish for approximately 4.5 hours or so. Then lightly sauced and cranked the heat up to about 300 for 30 more minutes. I didn't measure the internal temp. I just looked at the pullback on the bones. They were just right.

Thanks for the data.Your beef ribs just jumped to the top of the list for dinner tomorrow! Beef ribs and weekend Jerk prep!It looks like you made a ton of beans. How many cans? I'm only cooking for me and SWMBO so how many bones would you recommend including leftovers?Smoke: Hickory?New Albany, Ohio
-
It was a LOT of beans. 8 cans. I originally intended to make them a few weeks ago for my mother's birthday party, but there were so many other sides that I chose not to make them.
For the ribs, my wife and I both ate 2 each. We had only had one leftover rib. I used Apple wood, but oak or hickory would work as well. -

Man those look great. Give me the beef ribs over pork anytime. Hard to find good quality beef ribs where I am. When I do findum I buy them
-
Dude, the first pic itself was enough! Truly an outstanding cook. I will probably have to hold the meat counter guy hostage to get beef ribs like that.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Man that is an ass of beans. Then your plated pic is a small portion. Just curious what you do with the rest cuz they didn't make it over to Forest Acres. On the nachos last night?Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

@DYAL_SCI'm cooking beef ribs TODAY! They were already cut into individual ribs. Would you revise the method since it's not a slab? Thanks!New Albany, Ohio
-
They're lots of leftovers in my fridge, @Chubbs. Didn't put any on the nachos. Gonna freeze the rest. You can't have any since you didn't give me any bacon.
@THEBuckeye , sorry I don't think I've ever made them precut. I wouldn't be a good person to ask. -
They're pretty thick. Chugging along at 250. I'll check the temps at 3-1/2 4 hours and see what'a up.New Albany, Ohio

^^LIKE!!^^ Yours look much better!

@Dyal_SC did you leave your beans on the whole cook or just a few hours?Brandon, MS
-
@loveTheEgg , I took them off after a couple hours, once the liquid absorbed, then placed them in the crockpot with more liquid to soften.
