Jalapeno coring device

Wife gave me a jalapeño rack for Christmas that came with a coring knive. Haven't used it yet, but man it makes short work out of processing jalapeños.
It has like a peeler device that really scrapes the inside well to remove a lot of the heat if need be.

Make sure you wear rubber gloves. It burns private parts also.I keep a gallon jar of dill pickle juice in the frig and when I clean peppers the cap and seeds go in. Makes great spicy pickles if you like.

Agree^^^^^^ ha ha.

Well, the good thing is , you only touch the outside of the pepper. The corer does the inside work.Richard Fl said:Make sure you wear rubber gloves. It burns private parts also.

I have the BGE one and does OK but you have to get the right sized peppers for best results. What brand is that? Dont need a rack. I have a couple already that are baically used to space my pizza stone and plate setter apart.Jacksonville FL

The picture of the corer is incorrect, the edges are serrated.------------------------------

I would think that a sharp knife and the appropriate size melon baller would serve the same purpose?
Just being careful to wash hands thoroughly when done.....Berlin, Maryland -
Thanks. I will look for one like it sold separately. Doing some ABT for the game later.Jacksonville FL

That roasting rack is cool. Never seen one before. I like that corer tool too. I'm gonna keep my eye out for something like that.

If you have these items, I guess so. I don't and got this. Win, win.rsterman said:I would think that a sharp knife and the appropriate size melon baller would serve the same purpose?

This isn't my first rodeo with ABTs of such, I have tried many things, and invented some items too, this was the easiest to date. Now, these are large jalapeños, we'll see how it does on my homegrown ones that aren't as large coming soon.------------------------------

I've never seen a melon baller small enough to fit in a jalapeño, let alone sharp enough to get through the pith.rsterman said:I would think that a sharp knife and the appropriate size melon baller would serve the same purpose?
