That is too expensive. I paid only a bit more than that for my Anova and I can use it even if my stove is being used for something else. And it's portable.

If I had the compatible cook top I might get one just to be able to sous vide at two temps (ie. in addition to the Anova).  I don't think I would go for it as my only SV device.

I would buy it.  I would think this setup can be used for frying as well as sous-vide.

Makes more sense if you are already planning to purchase or you already have their cooktop. Or, if you were in the market for a portable induction burner. Less stuff I guess.
