Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburgers

I am in the prepatory stages of making this for dinner tonight. If you have ever been to New Orleans and gone to Yo Mamas, this is their big signature menu item.

Thats the ground chuck, onion, jalapeno, and bacon ready to their various roles in tonights dinner.

I chopped the onion and jalapeno in my Blendtec. Goes with the recent blender thread.

My egg seems to have developed a hinge issue. It wants to hold the dome up off the gasket. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's thermally bound. :-? How hot are you rolling? But, it still shouldn't bind. Corrosion? Maybe somebody else will chime in and give better advise than my "s h i t IDK".

For your hinge issue- maybe if you get a couple of pics of the back of the egg showing the hinge/springs it will help identify the issue.  Probably won't help me identify the issue, but some of the more mechanically inclined eggers might be able to help.

Its cold now, the fire has been lit for 5 minutes.

Sorry to leave you all hanging, i am just now mixing the meat/onion/jalapeno mixture to form patties. Well, my wife is, I am standing here drinking beer.

There is a burger joint in West Lafayette, IN called Triple XXX that names meals after Purdue athletes. The Duane Purvis is a burger with a big gob of peanut butter on it because they say Duane ate peanut butter on everything. They say you either love it or hate it, so we'll see what camp you're in!!

I always get the peanut butter bacon cheeseburger at a place called lucky 13 here in Salt Lake City. I love it. Can't wait to see yours.

Super chunky would have been on the menu, but this was decided on during my drive home. I had to go with my weapon of opportunity, in this case creamy.....

I forgot to mention, it is super important to dress it like you would a regular burger. The peanut butter really goes well as a balance to pickles, onions, mustard, pretty much anything. Mayo is great on it as well. (Cant speak for tomatoes as i damn near refuse to eat them raw on anything. Maybe cooked on a pizza.) Just try it with whatever you want.
