I live here in ATL and I was just there Saturday at BGE HQ - looking forward to seeing the new store in a few weeks. I find the benefit of going to that store (i.e., the company store) being that I never have to doubt that they'll have what I'm looking for (If it's an official BGE product). Nice folks there, as well.LadyGT said:I have been considering visiting the store, but wondering if it is really worth the trip. I live 1 1/2 hours away but was wondering if I was missing out on anything. There is a store locally that sells Big Green Egg products. What do you think?Metro Atlanta, GALBGE -
It's my understanding that the new location will have a huge cooking classroom and a new schedule of classes will be announced at some point.RRP said:
Since you know the building et. al. what is the appeal to the location? Better visibility, access for customers and trucks incoming & outgoing? Some one said earlier in this thread they were told the new site was not going to have retail anymore - guess that's why I was wondering the desire to move from the present site...just curious that's all!DaveRichardson said:That's what I said.... They only warehouse and assemble. Ceramics are Hecho en Mexico. I know that building very well; before it was BGE. There is no way on earth they can make products there. -
They need some weekend daytime classes not just mid-week in the evening.New Albany, Ohio

I believe that is in the plan.THEBuckeye said:They need some weekend daytime classes not just mid-week in the evening. -
Where are you at? The store selection at the Mothership isn't the best I've seen. Roswell Hardware has 10x the egg-related stuff.LadyGT said:I have been considering visiting the store, but wondering if it is really worth the trip. please clarify - so Roswell carries more of BGE approved and so branded merchandise than the Mother House does itself? I guess I don't follow or do you mean Roswell carries more items of interest to an egger and not just BGE branded items than the Mother House? For instance this Christmas I received BGE corn cob holders purchased in The Netherlands which were made in China, but we're sanctioned by BGE in the US. So Roswell would carry those but the Mother House would not? Get my question? Thanks!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
I've never been to the Mothership, so I can't speak to that. But they have a nice selection of BGE merchandise, as well as an assortment of rubs and other items that one would want.Atlanta GA.

I live in Warner Robins, GA. We have two sporting goods stores that sells BGE products so it's not that I can't find products. Just wondering if the headquarters offers more to their walk in customers than here. I wondered if the prices on products are less expensive than what I can purchase here as well.DaveRichardson said:

Here is the address of the new Mothership. 3798 Dekalb Technology Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30340 It is right next door to a classic Corvette Dealership. It is just south of the I-85/ I-285 Junction (Spagetti Junction for Atlantans. The building looks huge from the outside. I drive past it on the way to work. The old store is only 6.5 miles away from the new one but as stated above, it was down in a hole. When it opens, Ill stop after work and get some pics.
