Deer meat recipes
Options
We are getting a whole deer from the processor tomorrow. We were supposed to split it with another couple but they don't have room. I really don't either so I gotta cook it! I will freeze most of it.
In the meantime, anyone got any good deer recipes? I usually do some chili with the ground meat but I'll have steaks and loin for sure and don't know what to do with it all.

I harvest an average of 3 deer/year , and am lucky in that both my wife and I love to eat it. I use it for everything -steaks etc, and find it really good for stir frys. I recently made a huge pot of venison stew, the best I've ever had, highly recommend that.Here's my stew thread if you're interested in the recipe.Lethbridge, Alberta LBGE & MM
