first wok. ..

Finally had time to wok a little dinner. Learning so it wasn't @caliking worthy. Flat iron steak thinly sliced and marinaded. Onion, red pepper, mushrooms, bok choy...beef broth and corn starch for a "gravy". Rice noodles boiled inside and thrown in the wok. It was actually pretty good. Everyone scarfed it down. Will definitely start doing more of this type of cook.

Looks good @henapple. Did you follow a recipe or just wing it? Was the beef really tender? I am looking for the right cut to make Thai basil beef like a place by my house. The beef is unbelievably tender there but everything I have tried at home is a little tough.

@Chubbs‌. It was a recipe but probably the usual...cook this, keep warm, cook this keep warm, etc. The flat iron steak was spot on. More tender than what I get eating out. I really liked the bok choy. I'll add more next time.

Here's a good link to a bunch of wok recipes. Fine Cooking is one of the food mags I subscribe too, and like it because the recipes are usually good and not too fussy like Saveur and Cooks Illustrated can sometimes be.
