Can you just Egg/cook a frozen steak, pork chop or chicken breast? Ideally these should be defrosted but just curious on how to cook these faster if not planned in advance.
Same for frozen fish, (salmon, tilapia, etc)?

have done the pork chops, season then freeze then grill. with thin chops and a hot fire it seems to help them from drying out before the exterior is to my liking
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Someone posted an article similar to this one:It basically states that if you have a frozen steak it is preferable to cook from frozen. They use an oven/sear method, so on the egg I would go reverse sear. I have done this and it turned out great. I honestly couldn't say that it was better than a defrosted steak, but definitely not worse.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

heres the link to the frozen pork chops i was cooking last summer. in 30 to 40 minutes i could get home, get the egg to temp, sear the chops, eat them, and get back to work

Only problem is seasonings don't stick too well to frozen meat. Just adjust when to season.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
Cool thanks guys. Now to go look for a MM.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
