What's the trick for getting good pics on the egg? I've only got a few good ones out of about a thousand. If I get good shots of the fire, the meat shot is too dark. If the meat shot is good the fire is blah. I also get lots of blurry shots.

@stemc33‌ these are with an iPhone. Sometimes try with the flash on, usually helps when there's a lot of contrast.

I see the pizza stone/plate setter in picture #3 before the fire started.  Then, it's not in picture #4 thru #6.  I used to get lost in math when the text book stated; "it follows directly that."  What am I missing?

By-the-by ... chops do look good ... one of my favorite breakfast meats.

The cook is a reverse sear. You cook indirect until IT is 125, then go direct to sear the meat. Very very good way to do chops and steaks.
