Year long butt cook

Happy new year! Put 20lbs of pork butt on the egg tonight at 8pm for dinner tomorrow. It is a year long cook!

This is a new tradition started last year with my first cook ever on the egg. My second cook spanning 2 years. Updated pics to follow but the egg is humming along.

163 IT at 1 AM, you may have pulled pork for breakfast unless you get a real long stall. Hope you have a cooler and towels ready.

Not done yet thank goodness. 9am here and both butts in the 170s and doing fine.

Pulled at 195 and Just went into the cooler for a few hours. 16 hours start to finish spanning 2 years.

Thanks all. The butts were excellent. Wound up with a ton so I froze 5 pounds and gave some to a neighbor.
