<p />got my small assembled and settin next to big brother. He looks pretty good. Will get fired up tonight for the first cook. Maybe… maybe not….
6e37744c.jpg[p]when is was putting little dumpty together I noticed that the bottom vent cover partially covered the bottom vent. So with some tin snips I just opened her up a little.[p]c5f29b55.jpg[p]but when I put the sliding vent back on I realized I should of thought about it for a minute or so before cutting away.[p]Minor problem, but easily fixed. I can make a new sliding vent that is just a little longer tomorrow. But I guess we'll use the large for dinner tonight, since i can't shut the small down completely.[p]also need to rig up a portable eggnest, something with some big ole knobby tires for the small, so that it can handle grass, gravel and so on.. if you have any ideas i'ld like to hear them.[p]Scott[p][p]

eggor,[p]good tip for those who are thinking about increasing the air flow on their small (like me!).[p]I especially like the front-loader feature of your table![p]Chuck

eggor,[p]At least it's a reasonably repairable error, but I think that particular cut comes with a 'Doh!' award.[p]egg 'em on,

chuckls,[p]since i'm gonna have to fix mine, i'll go and make an extra just in case you want to do the mod. By the way i'm waitin on you to post a few pics on our little minifest. [p]I think we all had a really good time, and like they say 'a face to go with the name'. i ate enough yesterday afternoon at your mini-fest that i haven't eaten much since. been snackin on them almonds though(check submitted recipes for chuckls almonds)they are addictive.[p]For those who didn't know, some of us went over to chuckls home for a little get together and while chuckls and his son fought off a wall of water trying to invade their basement(and lost),we were enjoy some great food up on their deck. Chuck, if you host another fest i'll bring my shop-vac and waders and give you a hand. [p]By the way why don't you show what you're up to, we saw a sneak-peek but i'm sure the rest would.[p]Scott

    eggor,
The little guy sure looks nice. So you want to build an all-terrain table for this guy and take him for a walk? I'm thinking a wagon. Lehman's Hardware and Appliances sells a frame with 10" air filled tires and the steering is engineered like a car so the wheels stay squarely under the corners of the wagon for stable pulling. It's built to support 850 pounds pay load and will easily fit through a standard doorway. You build your own box and bolt it to the frame. Go to www.lehmans.com[p]BTW, I really like your table. It's nice to see the egg in a table without anything blocking it's shape.

eggor, You just made the first constant temp egg. Check her out, see what she stabilizes at. I had to go to Nashville yesterday unexpectedly, but I am close to finishing your toy. Tom

eggor,[p]Hey thanks for the offer of the vent slide but my small has the old black unit and I don't think they're compatible with the new ss one.[p]I haven't got any pics of the Lazy L Minifest up yet - bills and flooded basement have taken priority (sheesh - where's my priorities?)[p]Chuck

guava wood,[p]i've been gettin quite a few compliments on my table, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. just to let you, and any others, that it is made of honduran mahogany with an additional mahogany stain to get the darker finish. three coats of spar varnish and a little sanding. I used gorilla glue and stainless screws. Should last a good long time.[p]That bowl you posted several months ago was a heck of lot more impressive than my table![p]Scott

    eggor,
You can contact Lehman's if you would like to inquire about wagon frame #40-350RGA.[p]Anyway, I'm sure you will build something cool for the little guy. Good luck and have fun.

Maybe it is just me but the small does not look very stable sitting on its feet on that small table/stand.[p]Dennis
