Stuffz VS Stuff a burger press (by the big green egg)
Hey everyone,
I received 2 gifts and I am wondering which one I should keep. Stuffz VS Stuff a burger press (by the big green egg). Anyone had experience with both and care to comment? Thanks!

The one I have is red plastic, makes HUGE burgers.
It was an interesting novelty for about 3 lbs. of ground - and now it's one of those kitchen items that gets moved around and will eventually be in the garage with the Ninja blender, George Foreman grill, Cuisinart waffle maker, coffee grinder, Salad Shooter, etc...
It's easy enough to make stuffed burgers without the damn thing.

I'm not sure about the difference between the two. I just used my BGE Stuff-A-Burger press for the first time last night. Put the bottom in wrong, so it was a little hard to get the tuna patty out. I like it though.Steven

Au contraire mon frère, there's no way I could of made that tuna patty last night without it. At least not with the shape and the pocket for the cheese. I've only used it once, but it's nice if your gonna stuff a burger.
@Buzilo, if they were gifts, just keep 'em both. If they are similar and your only going to keep one, keep the BGE one so it matches your BGE stuff.Steven

So you mash your meat with your hands?NPHuskerFL said:Never used one. The hands I came equipped with work beautifully for this task )

I respectfully disagree @stemc33
Although I'm sure it's faster and probably produces more consistent results. I guess I just prefer using my hands. But never done a stuffed tuna patty. I make salmon patties occasionally but, haven't ever tried stuffing one.
Back to the OP I'd keep em both @BuziloLBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -
I'm not sure of how many stuffed burgers I'll be making. I like a good old hand pressed burger with the burnt fringes. I'll definitely use it on occasion to stuff some burgers though. Mine was a gift, so I won't be tossing mine out.Steven

Bought Stuffs a couple of years afo. Pretty messy compared to the video unless you use about a fold ball size of meat on the top and bottom if I remember. I usually make a few up,none to eat and shrink wrap others for another day.Minneapolis / St. Paul. Large & Mini

Okay... it is official... sorry to be the one to say it but this is where the BGE burger stuffer failed me. Stuffz did the job. It is engineered in a way where the meat did not stick and was much easier to work with. Just saying.

I have the burger press by Big Green Egg and it is a royal pita. I just make two patties put the filling between the two and then blend the two together. Much easier and less to clean up.XL BGE, LG BGE, and a hunger to grill everything in sight!!!Joe- Strongsville, OH

Looks great. Love me some burgers. @Buzilo, do you like that basket thing that the lump sits in? How about when you fill to the top of the fire ring?Steven

It's not as functional as I thought. I would probably not buy it.
