I got some frozen salmon fillets that I'm thinking of brining smoking and then making a cracker spread out if it for Xmas. Anyone got any good thoughts? Thanks

Cream cheese and sour cream or mayo, diced shallot and capers, a touch of lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Smoked salmon served with a tarter sauce and crackers at room temperature is also good. ;;)Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

Here's one I added 9 years ago and still love it - and quite simple to make actually!

Update---
Thanks for the suggestions.
I smoked up a couple of brined salmon filets (sorry forgot the pics) and then mixed it with
8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2cup creamy horseradish
2 shallots
pepper
garlic powder
Turned out awesome
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
